Contest Rules

Thank you for your interest in the Sonshine 2006 debut artist stage at Sonshine Music Festival.

Smallman Music Group's purpose is to help develop the careers of artists whos' passions include ministry, relevance and musical excellence. We have partnered with 3 sponsor in this endeavor who believe in the cause of Christ and are like minded in their approach in excellence.

Prizes/Exposure:

EVERY ARTIST who enters this online tournament will be given a $50 gift certificate to Vision Van Gogh towards a graphic design or media package.

The top 16 artists from online voting will receive one 40 minute performance slot on the debut stage at sonshine music festival 2006.

The top 16 artists will also be included on the 2006 Sonshine Debut Stage CD Sampler with the song that they entered into the contest with.

The top 16 Artists will also receive free admission to Sonshine 2006!!

Tournament Details:

Judging and Scoring:

All judging will be tabulated via computers in an online forum. In order to be fully eligible:

    1. Your song must NOT contain any profanity or any other
        offensive material.
    2. Your band should be recognizable as a Christian Artist.
    3. All lines on the application are mandatory.

we do retain the right to deny any application. If your application is denied, your entry fee will be refunded to you.

The Entry Fee is $15.00. This fee may be paid online via paypal.

This contest starts on December 12th, 2005 and will go through December 21st, 2005.

Winners will be announced via the web site on December 22nd.

Scheduling/Advancing:

You will be notified in January of 2006 of your time slot for Sonshine 2006.

Music:

The mission of Smallman Music Group, Club 3 Degrees and Vision Van Gogh is to reach people with the love of Jesus Christ through music. Therefore, only music with a positive message that glorifies Him is allowed. We ask that you Submit only original Christian music. (In other words, secular cover tunes or secular cover tunes that have been redone by a Christian artist are not allowed). We require that all lyrics and/or a brief testimony reflect the fact that you are a Christian artist. We desire that every band/artist verbalize their faith in Jesus Christ.

Online Promotion:

We encourage everyone to take the opportunity to really promote themselves among family and friends. You can have the most awesome ministry and/or music, but if no one comes to hear you, then nothing really gets accomplished.

Submission of your Music Tournament application confirms your agreement and support of our mission and that your performance will demonstrate that support. Please submit a copy of your lyrics and a music sample with your application online. Your application will not be considered complete until we receive the lyrics and music sample.
